Meng tien will

 

"Mengtian association" is a sacrificial activity held in memory of mengtian, the founder of the pen industry and the surrounding pen farms and pen shops. Meng tian was a general of the qin dynasty. He was honored as the ancestor of the pen for generations to come. According to legend, as early as the jin dynasty, shan lian has built a memorial "meng gong temple" of the pen ancestor meng tian. Since the yuan dynasty, due to the rise of the reputation of hubi, "meng gong ci" is very prosperous. Today, every year on September 16 of the lunar calendar, shan lian town meng gong temple will hold a grand ceremony for ancestor worship "meng tian meeting".
